Many stores will be closed tomorrow, or at least operating with abbreviated hours. So, now’s the time to start shopping! Be sure to bring your list with you so you don’t forget anything and consider going to a big box or other surplus store. Plus, having everything ahead of time will give you less to stress about on Thanksgiving Day.
Try a Test Run
The last thing you want to discover is that the new green bean casserole recipe you found online tastes truly terrible. Or that your oven is being temperamental. If you have time, prepare a dish or two tonight! That way, not only are you lessening your to-do list for tomorrow, but also you get to sample some dishes early. Consider this a hands-on troubleshooting mission to discover whether that appetizer is appealing as it seemed on TV. While also ensuring all your appliances are working properly. Don’t forget about the smaller electronics, too! Sure, your oven is essential on Thanksgiving Day, but for most people, so is your coffee maker.
Invite Some Family & Friends Over Early
Thanksgiving is all about spending time with those closest to you and counting your blessings. Why not start the celebration a little early? On top of the quality time, you’ll also get some extra helping hands! While we’re not suggesting inviting everyone over on Thanksgiving Eve, you can include a few people in the preparations. Maybe one person sets the table while another bakes a dessert. Then you’re free to run around accomplishing tasks, too. Just make sure you come back together for a little down time before the big day.
