Get Organized
Instead of kicking off 2019 with a “New Year, New You” approach, why not try a different fresh start? Even if that only means becoming a more organized you. We know how chaotic things can get during the holidays, so focus on cleaning up from that first. As you put away this decoration and that gift, take a look around. Is the clutter distracting you? Is everything organized efficiently? Do you know where your important paperwork for insurance or taxes is? If not, it’s time to get to work! Maximize on existing space by tidying up and/or installing new storage solutions. Plus, now’s a good time to reevaluate some of that unnecessary clutter, by donating or otherwise disposing of items you no longer use. With a clear space, and different organization strategy, you’ll be ready to tackle 2019.
Try Something New
It’s one of the best (and fastest) ways to mix things up in the new year! Be sure to personalize this part and use it as an excuse to try something you’ve always thought about. Whether that’s acupuncture, yoga, roller derby, or anything in between. You could even plan a trip! Finally visit that destination you’ve been dreaming about for years. Start by researching it a little more, take a class, get insider insight and who knows? You might find a new hobby or experience to enjoy throughout the year. Worst case scenario, you’ve at least crossed one item off your personal to-do list! Be sure to ask about personal and travel coverage first—just in case.
Plan Ahead
Speaking of things you’ve been putting off…take care of them first-thing in 2019. Like that retirement plan you’ve been meaning to fund. Or the additional life insurance you wanted to purchase.
