It’s normal to feel confused about what to do during your free time during the quarantine. Many of us feel anxious about the bombardment of news.

Though we must remain informed about the pandemic, our mental health needs to occupy the head with other topics. But calm down, because we are here to help you in this social isolation. We think of some ways to use your time productively! Check it out:

Enhance your resume

One of the significant challenges imposed by this scenario of social isolation is, without a doubt, to find activities for occupying the list of those who are quarantined at home. Some renowned education institutions – national and international – offer free online courses on the most varied subjects, from User Experience to Data Science VisualizationCoursera is one of the leading online organizations offering courses from institutions like Duke University, Stanford, and Google!

Learn a new language

First of all: yes, yes and yes! You can learn a new language. Being self-taught (learning alone) requires discipline, organization, willpower, and ideal content. But it is by no means impossible. Set fixed times for the study; the place should be quiet and, if possible, always the same; immerse yourself in the culture of the language (music and movies are a good start).

Meditate

Meditate. Try lying down with your eyes closed, palms up, and while focusing on your breath. Or spend 20 minutes sitting crosslegged and repeat a soothing word to yourself in your head. (The latter is more like transcendental meditation.)

You’ve got mail

Write actual letters to family and friends. After that? Write thank-you notes to service people who you remember went out of their way for you.

Virtual Museums Tours

Several museums around the world offer online collections, with virtual tours. Here is a list of some:

Netflix with friends

How about watching movies and series in the company of your friends, even from a distance? This is possible with Netflix Party, a free extension for Google Chrome. Through it, a group can watch the same movie or episode simultaneously, each on their computer, and share comments and reactions in real-time. To use, you must have an active account on the streaming platform.
